Friday, June 8, 2007 at Fei's home

For a change of scenery, we will be meeting this Friday at the Fei's home, 7pm, (248) 374-9937. The address is 16992 Algonquin, Northville, MI 48167. Nice. Eh?

The ride arrangement will be a little bit more challenging but that's no problem. We will meet at the Yu's home at 6:20pm. If you need a ride to Yu's home, give Daniel a call (734) 883-3578. If we need more than 2 minivans, then perhaps Kevin or John N. can drive.

We will be discussing John 18:1-29. As usual dinner will be served.

Friday, 5/25/07, Picnic, Picnic, Picnic!!!! Fun! Fun! Fun!

By popular demand and because of great weather, we will have a picnic this Friday, 5:30pm at Olsen Park.

As usual, the food will be great, the activities will be awesome, singing could be out of this world and the Bible study be short & relevant (since we will put our brains together; let's correspond to each other via email to prepare).

Also since we were talking about having a gospel meeting, how about starting this Friday? Why don't we invite our friends and show them what it is like to be Christians?

Friday, 5/4/07, 7pm at Yu's home: Did Jesus Contradict Himself?

This Friday at the Yu's home, 7pm, (734) 213-5236, 4886 S. Ridgeside Cir. Ann Arbor

We will be discussing John 16:20-33. Did Jesus contradict Himself by saying, "And in that day you will ask Me nothing" (v. 23) and then say "ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be made full" (v. 24). Does He want us to ask or not? When we pray, what should we ask for? What if we don't need anything?

Friday, 4/27/07, 6:30pm at Kim's home

We are meeting at Kim's home at 6:30pm (1600 South Blvd., Ann Arbor, MI 48104; 734-998-0209). Dinner included. Bring songs that you would like to sing.

We will discuss John 16:5-24. Here are some questions that I could think of that we may consider on Friday night: 1. Why is it expedient that Jesus goes away (v. 7)? What are some of the things that the Spirit can do? 2. The Spirit will convict the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. What does that mean?
If you have any other questions, feel free to bring them up.

This Friday, we can work on the long waited thank you card.

So far we have four going to Kalamazoo this Saturday. We will leave around 10am and come back before 10pm. Anyone else?

Finally, you were probably wondering what this picture was all about. This is from my sister-in-law in China. Perhaps we should import these balloons for Huron River. What do you think?

Friday, 4/20/07 New Time: 6:30pm

We are meeting at Yu's home at 6:30pm. Dinner included. We will discuss John 15, focus on verses 12-17.

If you have pictures or comments from the Huntington House, post them on the blog.

Also Min is working on a thank you card for the care takers of the Huntington House, i.e. brother Tim Miller & sister Jenny Brenneman. We are looking for phrases that capture our appreciation. (ex. "Thank you. We had an awesome time.", "Thank you. We felt like royalties.") Any ideas? We also need a group picture (2 copies) to include in the card.

Friday 3/30/07 & the Great Get Away

Did you ever want to get your feet washed by a slave (John 13:1-17)? Most people in the meeting were too conservative to dare. I guess it could be scary exposing your stinky feet for others to clean. But JP was daring. So was I. I made sure JP cleaned between my toes!

This was something Jesus did before He would leave to the Father. He did it because He loved us to the uttermost.

Weekend Getaway

Afterwards we will hang with the saints in Goshen. Cool singing time and a needed dinner. Don't forget to bring your cameras.
